About this service
Hospice Quinte is committed to protecting the health and safety of everyone in our community. We also understand that individuals facing a life-threatening illness, and their caregivers, still need our companionship and support... now more than ever. While our Visiting Hospice program has been temporarily suspended until physical distancing is no longer recommended, Hospice Quinte volunteers are still able to provide social and emotional support to patients by telephone. Our volunteers are specially trained and understand the importance of dignity, independence, confidentiality, beliefs, choices, faith, and culture. Caregivers seeking support can register for Peer Telephone Caregiver Support or our new bi-monthly Cyber Caregiver Support emails. Client intake will be processed by telephone.
