About this service

When gambling venues were expanding in the Province of Ontario, it was known that a percentage of the population may develop a problem with gambling. The Provincial Government committed resources to the establishment of a fully funded system for the research, prevention and treatment of problem gambling.

Addcitions and Mental Health Services is funded to provide direct community counselling/treatment services for problem gambling in Hastings and Prince Edward County.

Counselling/Treatment Services Provided Include:

Initial and ongoing assessment

Treatment planning

Case management activities

Brief intervention

Lifestyle and personal counselling

Relapse Prevention

Family intervention

Follow-up and aftercare

Outreach activities early intervention
