About this service

Our core service the 40-bed shelter for homeless adult males is the main activity that takes place at 217 Murray Street. The shelter is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every week of the year. Men stay with us from one night to up to six months, depending on their individual circumstances. For over a year, weve had the privilege of having an addiction counsellor, who also works with mental health issues, working directly on site. We are grateful to Four Counties Addiction Services Team (FourCAST) for the partnership that has been developed between our agencies. The Addiction Counsellor provides clinical services, access to medical services, and assists Mission staff in working with men who come through our doors. As the profiles of people experiencing homelessness become more and more complex, this partnership becomes more and more invaluable.
