About this service

Cameron House opened on October 31, 1996 to provide emergency, short-term shelter for women. There are 10 beds. With an aim to ensure that the services we offer line up with the needs of our clients, we recently completed a comprehensive profile of the women who had stayed with us at Cameron House. Our short-stay shelter services are still necessary, and in addition to that we learned that many of the women who came through our doors had difficulty retaining stable housing afterwards. While they appeared to do well while staying at Cameron House, they struggled once they were on their own.
