About this service
The Mental Health Day Treatment Program is a group based program for individuals whose mental illness has caused significant disruption in social, family, and/or occupational functioning. The program is staffed by a specialized multidisciplinary team that includes a registered nurse, social worker, occupational therapist and recreation therapist. The focus is on the development and strengthening of skills such as cognitive restructuring, stress/anxiety management, goal setting, activation, anger management, healthy relationships and interpersonal skills.
Participants must be between the ages of 21 and 65, and attend 4 days per week for 7 weeks. Referrals will only be accepted by a psychiatrist and individuals must be followed by a psychiatrist for the duration of their participation in Day Treatment.
