About this service
The John Bosco Achievement Centre (JBAC) is a transitional educational model designed to engage street involved youth in academic studies outside of the traditional classroom setting. For some youth, an alternative method of learning is required in order to achieve success academically. The school is based on the philosophy that all students can experience success and that some will graduate in a non-traditional academic environment.
The Substance Use Support program at Operation Come Home offers at risk and street involved youth between the ages of 16-29 with support services. The Substance Use Support staff will assist youth in the development of an individualized goal plan that will address the various aspects of their substance use. This service operates under a harm reduction framework and thus will support youth with their substance use/abuse goals.
