About this service
This program serves French speaking women who have experienced sexual abuse. It addresses all forms of sexual abuse: abuse during childhood; incest; unwanted sexual touching; rape; date rape; rape by a partner, an acquaintance, friend, or stranger; sexual harassment in the workplace; sexual violence in war; ritual abuse; cyberporn.
The goal of the program is to help its participants by giving them a safe place to share and heal; to regain control of their lives; and to learn ways of managing and eventually reducing symptoms of distress.
Program Components:
- Individual counselling for survivors.
- Group counselling
- Individual counselling and awareness sessions for partners and friends of survivors to help them understand and support survivors through the healing process.
