About this organization

The Montfort Academic Family Health Team works for the well-being and maintenance of good health of patients by offering them comprehensive care in French and English while training the health professionals of tomorrow.

ESFAM's mission is to provide its patients with access to comprehensive and continuous healthcare of the highest quality; to work with the University of Ottawa to offer students of medicine and other health professions the best possible education in the French language; to continually develop, evaluate and refine evidence-based best practices for family medicine teams; and, as a member of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa, fulfilling its responsibility to educate the physicians of the future.
