About this organization

Nucleus Independent Living receives funds from the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integrated Network (MH LHIN) under the Home Care and Community Services Act (1994) to operate a Supportive Housing Program with the purpose of providing Attendant Services to Consumers with a physical disability in permanent community residential settings when their support service needs require the availability of 24-hour, on-site assistance. The role of any Supportive Housing program is to provide an alternative to Long Term Care facilities while maintaining people's independence and integration into their communities.
