About this organization

The 24 hour telephone crisis line provides counselling, emotional support, information and referrals for all women who have experienced abuse. The crisis line is also for friends and family members of abused women, services providers and other professionals in contact with abused women.

Naomis Family Resource Centre recognizes that although both women and men can be victims of domestic violence, the overwhelming majority of abusers are men abusing women. Therefore, throughout this website the abuser is referred to as male yet can be interchanged. This in no way is to minimize the significant trauma a victim experiences under the control of a male or female abuser. It is to simplify.
