About this service
Belindas Place is a multi-service facility owned and managed by The Regional Municipality of York and operated by The Salvation Army. Belindas Place provides support and services to help women to get back on their feet. Belindas Place is the first emergency housing facility in York Region for unaccompanied homeless women who are not eligible for Violence against Women (VAW) Emergency Housings. The facility offers 28 single-occupancy rooms. It operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provides: basic needs (food, bedding, hygiene supplies, etc.); collaborative, client-driven assessment; strengths-based, trauma-informed case management; referrals and warm transfers; assistance connecting with wraparound services; and assistance finding appropriate, affordable, and stable housing.
