About this service
The Mental Health Support Program was developed by the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres, as a part of the Open Minds, Healthy Minds Strategy to improve Indigenous mental health and well-being. It is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. The Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres designed Mental Health Support Program promotes a Good Mind through cultural-based mental health and supports. The program merges the existing Aboriginal Community and Mental Health and Aboriginal Alcohol and Drug Worker Program expanding the service of providing wholistic support.
