About this service

The Family Court Worker program is designed to assist Aboriginal youth and families in contact with family, child protection and youth court to better understand their options, responsibilities and right when appearing before the courts. As well to visit secure and open custody facilities and/or institutions to see Aboriginal clients in order to provide information and moral support. The Family court worker is knowledgeable of and works with community agencies to make proper referrals to the clients.
