About this service

The Zhawenjigewag Inawemaaganag program provides culture-based peacemaking services to Indigenous families to strengthen and heal their relationships. Local Elders from Anishinaabek, Haudenoshaunee, and Lene-Lenape nations can guide you through an alternative peacemaking process based in Indigenous restorative justice circles.

The program is designed for all members of the family through all stages of life. We are happy to assist couples, parents, youth, community and extended family with a wide variety of matters. We can also help you arrive at out-of-court solutions for family matters. We also offer support to navigate legal systems and individual sessions with local Elders and cultural knowledge keepers.
