About this organization
The age-old African proverb states wisely, It takes a village to raise a child. That strong sense of community is important in nurturing the lives of all community members, be they young, or older. Located within the Village of Jordan (Lincoln), Village of Hope aims to positively impact the lives of each community member in the area.
Since 2008 Village of Hope has been assisting our neighbours in need through programs of empowerment, food bank, community garden, and thrift store. We offer resources and direction to those of our community who need a handup in their time of difficulty. Our focus is on food security in our community, and its effects on us mentally, socially, and economically.
