About this service
Provides a safe and inviting place for children ages 7-12 living in Leamington, specifically the neighbourhoods surrounding Mill Street and Queen Elizabeth Public Schools. It combines planned learning activities and recreational activities to help children learn, gain skills and be ready for the future. Each programming day will consist of a nutritional snack, homework help or structured learning activities and recreational activities such as parking lot hockey, soccer and indoor games. Children will be engaged through other activities such as cooking, crafts and science experiments. Activities will be specially designed for the unique needs of the children at each school and focus on building their abilities, confidence and connection to their community.
The program also includes family supports such as community dinners and workshops/discussion groups for parents to give them knowledge of and access to other needed community supports and services.
