About this service

Visiting & Social

The Community Support Centre wants you to feel confident that, while living alone, someone will be there to check on you. That is why we offer security reassurance calls and friendly visits.

  • Our Friendly Visiting program wants to help seniors struggling with loneliness and isolation by offering them peace of mind that a friend will visit with them regularly. We will match seniors who would like some companionship with volunteers to spend some time visiting in the home. We will do our best to match volunteers with clients that share similar interests.
  • Our Security Reassurance program offers phone calls that, although brief in nature, offer you the peace of mind that someone will be there to check on you. One of our friendly staff members or volunteers will give you a call regularly to check in on you and your well-being.
