About this service

St Matthews has a long history of helping people relocate to K-W area, going back to Post World War II and most recently helping families from Syria and Eritrea.

Working with CLWR (Canadian Lutheran World Relief), we provide sponsorship to help families get clearance to come to Canada, where they can begin to build a better life without violence. Once the families arrive in Canada, St Matthews is there to help provide clothing, furniture, financial aid, and most importantly friendship and support in getting integrated into the community.

Unfortunately, we are not able to accept any new sponsorship requests until Spring 2022.
