About this service
The Supported Independent Living Program is an option where people live independently either on their own or in shared accommodations. Assistance is offered to enhance the independent living abilities of the people receiving support. Help is typically requested in the areas of banking, budgeting, grocery shopping and cooking however; support varies and is provided in any aspect of daily living.
Who can use it?
A referral from the sunbeam developmental services resource centre (children) or developmental services ontario central west region (adults) is required to access the services funded in part by mccss and offered by kw habilitation for children and adults. Both are the single point of access for all inclusive living and community and employment supports and services for people with a developmental disability within the region of waterloo.
