About this service
This education session is focused on delivering better coordinated and integrated care in the community by educating and supporting health care professionals to better understand the challenges of working with someone who has a brain injury. The training can be tailored to any workplace in regard to content and timing. Education on acquired brain injury and behaviour can include topics such as: info on ABI resources, locally and provincially how to screen for an ABI diagnosis Types of brain injuries and how it affects the brain what ABI can look like how best to support a person who has an ABI how to approach behaviours for a person who has an ABI considerations for ABI + substance use Intimate Partner Violence and ABI
