About this organization
Evangel began as a church plant by Bethany Missionary Church, in a new neighbourhood in Kitchener, Ontario. Ground was broken in 1949 and 15 months later, on September 24th 1950, the church was dedicated and began its ministry to the community. In 1955 there were still no pews, only chairs, yet people came to worship in Gods house and celebrate joyous events including a wedding in August of that same year.
