About this service
Camping experiences are an essential part of growing up in Canada and something that many of us with a conventional upbringing take for granted. These experiences allow young people some much needed leisure while also fostering an appreciation for nature, building confidence and self-reliance, and forging stronger bonds with each other. As part of ensuring our young clients have the same opportunities as their peers, we offer a camping experience to all our residential treatment and foster kids each year.
Whether at a formal campsite with structured activities or simply in a tent in the woods, we feel that being removed from an urban environment and living outdoors for a few days is a crucial learning experience with a powerful transformative effect on individuals.
