About this service

Based out of Notre Dame House, the Community Mental Health Program serves street-involved youth ages 12-21 in Hamilton, meeting youth at various residential and non-residential programs within Good Shepherd Youth Services and the Street Youth Planning Collaborative (SYPC). Youth are supported through the provision of youth focused, evidence informed mental health services. Consultation and liaison is also provided to staff and mental health and medical services in the community. Through referrals from staff at youth agencies, the community mental health program provides services and linkages to meet the needs of the youth, many of whom have serious and complex mental health issues.
