About this service
Safe, adequate housing that people can afford without compromising other basic needs is a fundamental need and a human right. But with housing costs rising faster than incomes, tens of thousands of Hamiltonians find themselves struggling to pay the rent or the mortgage payment, even with incomes that once would have made that possible. The lack of affordable housing has become a crisis.
Since 2016, the churchs Affordable Housing Team has tried to increase opportunities for people to be safely, securely, and affordably housed. We have raised funds for Sacajawea Non-Profit Housing Inc., which provides affordable housing for low-income Indigenous people.
