About this organization

Through agreements with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, employment services are provided to the community's job seekers and employers. With a focus on those with barriers to employment including first time job seekers (youth/students), those on social assistance/with disabilities, long term unemployed, new comers, etc; we provide intensive assisted services including employment counselling job referral, employment legislation/safety info etc. Subsidized/supported job trials/placements increase opportunities for those requiring additional training. A Resource Centre offers training/workshops and additional supports. Employers are supported in their hiring needs with assistance including funding to increase the skill level of their workforce. A youth job link program offers career exploration services, career management services to improve readiness for the labour market, and job search, readiness and matching assistance to connect youth with employers offering employment opportunities, including summer jobs.
