Harm Reduction

HARM REDUCTION Harm reduction is an evidence-based, client-centered program for the treatment and support of people who use substances. The goal of harm reduction is to reduce the bio-psycho-social harms associated with substance use, without the requirement for people to abstain or quit the substance in the process. Our harm reduction program provides supports, some basic needs, and fresh medical supplies to people who use substances. These services tend to support those people who are both living below the poverty line and using substances. This program is the only in our community to prove Fentanyl test strips for people to test their substances for trace amounts of fentanyl/Norfentanyl. We also provide a supply delivery service throughout the week to the doors of people who want to order larger amounts, or for those who are looking for more discretion. Monday Friday 10am 3pm The Community Support Team collects improperly discarded harm reduction supplies from public spaces. The team is trained in the appropriate handling of biohazardous waste and is passionate about ensuring that we create a positive impact on our community and the environment.
