About this service
The Employment Support Services section plays an important role in helping people who are receiving Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Supports Program (ODSP). We help you prepare for, enter and remain in the labour market with the goal to be able to make it without assistance or with less assistance. An Employment Counsellor can help you to identify short and long term goals as well as overcoming potential challenges to help support you in moving forward. If you are on Ontario Works (OW), speak to your caseworker about a referral. Your caseworker MUST send a referral for you to meet with an Employment Counsellor to be eligible for employment assistance services. If you are on the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), non disabled adults ONLY are eligible for employment assistance services. A referral from your ODSP caseworker is required to be eligible for employment assistance services.
