About this service
COVID 19 Update: Call to sign up for virtual or over the phone appointments
Together with the District School Board of Niagara, the John Howard Society of Niagara provides the R.I.S.E. program to students suspended or expelled from their school.
This daily regional program runs from 9:00am-1:00pm and provides participants with an opportunity to explore three key avenues; life skills, academics and physical education. In particular, the life skills portion provides support and promotes progress among participants in several important areas, such as decision making, goal setting and self-control.
The purpose of the R.I.S.E program is to provide students with a safe learning environment to continue their studies and to develop effective strategies so the student can successfully return to school.
