The Oaks is an acute care accredited hospital, treating the whole person, operated by St. Joseph's General Hospital Elliot Lake. It is comprised of two departments: Withdrawal Management Services and Camillus Treatment Programs. Oaks Department services are supported and partially funded by The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care via the Local North East Health Integration Network. Medical Director, Dc Stanley Shapiro MD CCFP specializes in the treatment of substance use disorders.
Oaks department Services offer an eclectic treatment model, tailored to individual patient needs. Medical director on site; practicing medicine since 1981 and is an expert in the field of addiction treatment and recovery. All departments offer Ward, Semi Private and Private accommodations.
