About this service
If you do not have a family physician, you can access Algoma Public Health at 705-848-2314. They will complete an assessment with you and determine if you are a good candidate for nicotine replacement (patches, gum, lozenges, inhaler). Nicotine replacement products can be provided at no charge.
If you do have a family physician, you can have a conversation about a trial of Zyban or Champix. These medications can be of great assistance in smoking cessation. If you would prefer to try nicotine replacement products (patch, gum, lozenges, inhaler), you can have your name added to our waitlist by contacting the first floor receptionist at extension 263.
