About this service
The Family Court Support Program helps men and women who are victims of domestic violence when they are in, or thinking about, family court. Its goals include making safety plans, reducing the risk of future violence, and connecting people to services and supports. Staff share information and resources in person, by phone, and through regular or electronic mail, and they help clients record the history of abuse and understand and complete court forms on time. They also review court and lawyer meetings, go with clients to court or appointments, help with transportation, and work with criminal and family court services (such as VWAP) to make support smooth.
