About this organization
There has been a Christian presence in the Mount Albert village since the middle 1800's, provided by our Methodist and Presbyterian ancestors. In 1925 the congregations of the Presbyterian Church (White Church on main Street) and the Methodist Church (41 Alice Street) joined together to form the Mount Albert United Church. The Methodist building was used to house the congregation and the minister of the Presbyterian Church became the minister of the new joint congregation. Since that time, our congregation has served the people of Mount Albert, and provided United Church worship for all who wish to attend.
