About this organization

The Guelph Community Health Van operates under a partnership between Sanguen, ARCH and Public Health and is staffed by a interdisciplinary and multi-agency team made up of a Harm Reduction coordinator, Peer support worker, Public Health Nurse, Social Support Coordinator and a HepC nurse. The van connects community members with harm reduction supplies, such as new drug gear, needle exchange, condoms, etc; naloxone training and distribution; food, clothing, hygiene items, nursing supports (such as wound care, vaccines, HCV testing, etc) as well as peer and social supports.

The Guelph Van over time began offering the same services in rural Wellington, in Erin and Palmerston. COVID-19 has halted the rural outreach for now, but staff are looking at ways and locations to best offer services to the large and diverse geographical region of Wellington County.
