About this service
TechGyrls is a 12-week program for cis and trans girls, non-binary and two-spirit youth ages 9 to 13.
TechGyrls is rooted in the knowledge that cis and trans women and girls, non-binary and two-spirit youth are disproportionately underrepresented in the STEM fieldsand you cant dream of being what you cant see!
In this unique program, participants have the opportunity to explore, design, create and share all things related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math! Absolutely no skill or knowledge level is necessary to participate.
Each program is tailored to the participants interests in these fields, so each program is as unique as those who participate! Past activities and experiments include DNA/Forensics testing and extraction, building candy machines, ink chromatography, solar system exploration, chemical explosions, lava lamps and slime!
