About this service
This program assists community members to access and maintain employment. The Referral and Information service provides access to information on careers and occupations, the local job market, training opportunities and job search strategies. Clients are offered assistance with resume writing, job search techniques and career planning. Referrals to training and educational programs, as well as other community resources are provided through this service. Employment Counselling provides clients with an opportunity to clarify their employment needs, establish short and long term goals, develop action plans and prepare for employment. Clients can access some of the following services through this component: assessment, individualized career planning and goal setting, employment workshops, job shadowing, volunteer and on-the-job training opportunities.
