About this service
Avenue Road Public School is a K-8 school which first opened its doors in 1960. It has an approximate student population of 450 and roughly 50 staff members. The school is located just off of Avenue Road, which made choosing the name an easy decision. Since 1960, three additions have been added: one in 1963, another in 1980 and a third in 2012 to eventually accommodate the intermediate grades (7 & 8). In addition to Avenue Roads students, we also welcome students from Manchester Public School and Elgin Street Public School (non-French Immersion) upon completion of grade 6. Following graduation, most of our students pursue their high school studies at GCI (Galt Collegiate Institute).
