The Dawn Centre is a community-based, Christian charitable organization. Our goal is to provide accurate information, relevant services and caring support to the clients we serve. We support our clients in their plan of care to work towards physical, emotional, relational and spiritual wellness. We are a limited health care facility and do not provide ongoing health care services.

We focus on whole person care, which means we are here to support you in your emotional, physical, relational and spiritual wellness. How we care for your needs We provide unintended pregnancy support services and routine testing and treatment of STIs. We offer limited medical services. As such we do not provide: Ongoing primary health care or contraception Abortion services, nor do we assist in arranging abortions Ongoing prenatal care Dawn Centre offers free medical services pertaining to sexually transmitted infections. The following tests are available: Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Herpes, Syphilis, HIV, viral hepatitis (HBV, HCV). Our team does not provide general medical care or emergency services. As such, if you are experiencing symptoms such as acute pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, fever, abnormal bumps or lesions, we recommend you seek immediate medical assessment by NP/ doctor. Dawn Centre's medical team is also able to offer confirmation of pregnancy through Point of Care Ultrasound (P.O.C.U.S.) imaging. There are three things that we assess for with when a client comes to us for a P.O.C.U.S: Identifying a pregnancy within the uterus Assessing for presence of cardiac activity Estimation of gestational age Our Commitment of Care and Competence Clients are served without regard to age, race, gender, income, nationality, religious affiliation, disability or other arbitrary circumstances. Clients are treated with kindness, compassion, and a caring manner. Clients always receive honest and open answers. Client pregnancy tests are distributed and administered in accordance with all applicable laws. Client information is held in strict and absolute confidence. Releases and permissions are obtained appropriately. Client information is only disclosed as required by law and when necessary to protect the client or others against imminent harm. Clients receive accurate information about pregnancy, fetal development, lifestyle issues, and related concerns. We do not offer, recommend, or refer for abortions or abortifacients, but are committed to offering accurate information about abortion procedures as requested. All of our advertising and communication is truthful and honest and accurately describes the services we offer. We provide a safe environment by screening all volunteers and staff interacting with clients. We are governed by a board of directors and operate in accordance with our articles of incorporation, by-laws, and stated purposes and mission. We comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements regarding employment, fundraising, financial management, taxation, and public disclosure, including the filing of all applicable government report in a timely manner. All of our staff, board members, and volunteers receive appropriate training to uphold these standards. The support you receive is not a substitute for professional counselling.
