About this organization
As educators, we understand that children learn best through child-centred exploration and discovery and in an environment where interactions between adults and children are active, stimulating and engaging. As parents, we understand that the highest hopes and aspirations are reserved for our children. With that in mind, we created Busy Hands n Minds a childcare centre that supports early childhood philosophies that stress the importance of a structured learning environment, inquiry-based play and the development of the whole child.
We combine a teacher-directed and child-centred approach to learning in our curriculum. During our daily, large group activities, our educators introduce children to new concepts and ideas through our selected literacy, phonics, early math, science and social studies programs. Children are trusted to make choices and are seen as active participants in their own learning.
