About this service

Seniors for Seniors is a program run by the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward, designed to help older animals find new homes. The program focuses on dogs and cats that have been surrendered by owners unable to care for them any longer, who may often wait a long time to find another home. Financial barriers to adoption for older adults (60+) are mitigated by waiving the adoption fees for specific older animals (7+). This effort is made to ensure a perfect match between loving pets and senior citizens.
