About this service
The Royal Canadian Air Cadet Program, represented by the 608 "Duke of Edinburgh" Squadron, is a dynamic, organized developmental platform for Canadian youth. It offers a variety of activities that foster self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-awareness in cadets, motivating them to improve their physical fitness and academic performance while also volunteering and participating in citizenship activities. The program encompasses aviation-related activities, sports, music, and history learning, decision-making, and leadership building. Cadets also have opportunities for international exchanges and the chance to earn a private pilot's license. The program's mission is to contribute to the development and preparation of youth for adulthood and modern societal challenges. They aim to develop principles of good citizenship, leadership, and physical fitness among the youth while drawing attention to the various activities of the Canadian Forces.
