Queen Elizabeth School in Belleville is an established educational institution built in 1951, situated centrally in the city just across from the Belleville General Hospital. Serving approximately 240 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8, the school also welcomes Queen Victoria School students for their intermediate years. The school is recognized for a robust array of programs promoting a Healthy Active School Community. Curricular offerings include the Student Leadership Program and the Destinations Program for intermediate students, among others. Athletic and art opportunities are plenty in the school. Partnerships with educational institutions such as Loyalist College, Eastside Secondary School, and organizations such as Big Brothers and Big Sisters highly enrich the school community. The school also runs a breakfast program supported by the local industries and has numerous volunteers. After finishing Grade 8, students proceed to Eastside Secondary School for Grades 9 to 12.
