About this service
Highland Shores Children's Aid Society provides foster parent training and support to ensure safe and nurturing foster homes for children who can't stay in their family home due to safety concerns. The society believes that every child has the right to live in a safe environment, and when removal from their family home is necessary, the preferred option is placement with immediate or extended family or a person with a significant relationship with the child. If this isn't possible, the child is placed in a foster home. The society also conducts virtual foster parent info sessions and celebrates National Foster Family Week. They cater to the counties of Hastings, Prince Edward, and Northumberland.
