About this service
Located within the City of Belleville, Great St. James is our newest building. Strategically placed along a public transit line, it consists of a mix of Long-term and Transitional housing - 32 housing units (affordable and market) with mixed apartment types, primarily 1 bedroom/studios as well as three 3-bedroom units which are used by the Enrichment Centre-HPE as part of their transitional housing program. The 17 affordable units are available to other partner agencies to refer and support tenants who may need additional assistance with wholly independent living. The building also contains 15 market rent units, making the building an inclusive environment. Great St. James is fully accessible and includes smart technology, an office space for use by partner agencies, a shared Community Hub with a fully accessible kitchen for cooking classes and a tenant-run caf, and an outdoor patio area. Free lunch is provided to tenants twice weekly with various activities and community gatherings in that space.
