About this service
Counselling Services of Belleville and District operates the Infant and Child Development Program, serving children from birth to age 5 who are at risk of or diagnosed with a developmental disability. It does not require a medical diagnosis to access this program. It follows a family-centered approach focusing on the physical, intellectual, and social/emotional learning of infants and children. Professionals in the program support families to identify and achieve developmental goals for their children, coordinate and access services in the community, and provide home visits for routine and play-based activities. It operates within Hastings and Prince Edward Counties, funded by the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services. Referrals can be made with parental or guardian consent.
