About this organization

The Pentecostals of Quinte (POQ) is a contemporary Apostolic Church based primarily on the Christian beliefs set out in the Bible. Serving as examples of God's transformative power in individual lives, they aim to help people develop a personal relationship with God, gain freedom, discover their purpose, and contribute positively to society. Among their doctrines, they emphasize one God who encompasses the roles of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They practice water baptism, value repentance, and welcome the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They eagerly await Jesus' second coming to establish His eternal kingdom. The POQ is guided by a leadership team of pastors and ministry coordinators, headed by Lead Pastor Shawn Stickler and his wife Stephanie. Beyond their spiritual duties, they make broad contributions to society, such as helping the homeless and facilitating economic development. In addition to its original campus in Belleville, the POQ has expanded to a secondary location in Trenton, Ontario.
