About this organization
The Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings is a non-profit housing organization that works towards providing safe and affordable homes for needy families. Formed in 1995, the organization has built 29 homes and helped 30 families in the Prince Edward-Hastings area over the past 25 years. It collaborates with families, developers, contractors, volunteers, donors, and suppliers to meet the rising demand for affordable homeownership in the community. Additionally, the group runs a ReStore, a shop that sells or reuses donated items to fund future house-building projects. Apart from construction, it also strives to cultivate community involvement through charitable giving and volunteer work.
