About this organization
The Children's Safety Village (CSV) in Belleville is a community-supported initiative founded in 2004 that aims to educate primary grade students on various aspects of safety. The CSV encourages hands-on learning experiences in a safe, controlled environment that simulate real-life situations. The programs, which have been expanded to include all elementary and secondary school students, cover topics like traffic safety, internet safety, and "tricky people" safety. CSV also organizes community events including safety-themed holiday celebrations. Based on land granted by the City of Belleville, the CSV is a registered charity and houses the largest youth safety education center in Eastern Ontario. Partnerships with local police and fire services, Quinte Home Builders Association, and more aid in its operation.
