Stroke Recovery Association of Barrie and District was founded in 1983 by stroke survivors and their families. We offer support through exercise programs, social activities, and education. Stroke Recovery Association of Barrie and District is a registered charity and is led by a volunteer board of directors. Volunteers assist with all programs. Stroke is a medical emergency . Recognizing and responding immediately to the warning signs of stroke by calling 9-1-1 or your local emergency number can significantly improve survival and recovery.
