About this service
Highland Shores Children's Aid Society runs a range of youth programs aimed at communicating, networking, and advocating for youth in the care of Children's Aid Societies across Ontario. This includes the YouthCAN program and the Ontario Education Championship Team, both built to enhance the welfare and potential of these children and youth. The society also incorporates a Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) made up of youth in care and supported by staff. The Committee meets monthly with a Board member to bring ideas forward and to strengthen the working relationship among partners in the community towards meeting the educational needs of participants. Highland Shores Children's Aid Society enables opportunities for improved education, training, and employment for all participants in their youth programs.
