The AMHS-HPE Bancroft's Residential Addictions Treatment Program is a structured intervention for individuals aged 21 and older with severe and/or chronic addiction issues. The program runs on a 12-day cycle and uses a harm reduction model, offering group sessions and educational content to improve the understanding of substance abuse and develop coping strategies. Personalized sessions focus on treatment goals and aftercare plans. After completing the program, participants receive six weeks of aftercare support, including phone check-ins and worksheets. The organization also offers a day-use program with similar content for residents of Hastings and Prince Edward, which allows participants to return home each night. Referrals for the program must come from addiction referral agents who have conducted a standardized assessment.
